Modelcollect UA72228 US AGM-109 ACM missile Set 1/72

Modelcollect UA72228 U.S. AGM-109 ACM Missile Set 1/72

Modelcollect UA72228 is a high-quality plastic model kit representing a set of American AGM-109 ACM cruise missiles in 1/72 scale. This kit has been designed for modelers who wish to faithfully recreate the details of modern airborne ordnance used by the United States Air Force during the Cold War and modern times. This model is perfectly suitable both for standalone display and for enhancing dioramas depicting American strategic bombers, such as the B-52H Stratofortress, which in combat configuration could carry up to 12 ACM missiles.

The AGM-109 ACM (Advanced Cruise Missile) was developed by General Dynamics and McDonnell Douglas as an advanced strategic weapon, providing superiority on the battlefield thanks to its long range, high precision (including laser sensor updates), and stealth technology (notably its distinctive forward-swept wings). The development of this weapon began in 1983, with the first units entering service in 1987. The ACM played a key role in the American concept of missile deterrence during the final phase of the Cold War, enabling strikes on well-protected targets defended by anti-aircraft systems without exposing strategic bombers to the range of these defenses.

The UA72228 set is made from finely detailed plastic. The kit does not include glue or paints, allowing modelers to choose their preferred modeling accessories. Modelcollect has ensured accurate detailing – including the aerodynamic shapes of the missiles, panel lines, and features characteristic of stealth technology. This is an ideal proposal for both aircraft modelers and collectors of modern weaponry miniatures.
