Historical information:

The Fairey Gannet was a British carrier-based aircraft primarily used by the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm during the Cold War. The aircraft entered service between 1953 and 1978 as a multi-role machine: reconnaissance, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), and training aircraft. It was used, for example, during operations on British aircraft carriers and in NATO missions.

Advantages of the Armory Models AW72413 set:

• Exceptionally rendered realistic weighted tire effect, enhancing the authenticity of the finished model
• Detailed checkerboard tread pattern, characteristic of later versions of the Fairey Gannet landing gear
• Precise resin casting technique ensures sharply defined details and flawless surfaces
• Easy assembly – the components are simple to fit to most 1/72 scale Fairey Gannet models
• Suitable for upgrading both new and older models in need of improved realism

Product category:

Resin detail set for scale aviation enthusiasts, enhancing the details of plastic models.

Recommendation:

I recommend this set to intermediate and advanced modellers (difficulty level 2/5) who wish to enhance the realism of their Fairey Gannet miniatures and apply a higher standard of detail in 1/72 scale. It is also an excellent choice for collectors and modelling contest participants where build quality and authenticity of finish are valued.
