Brief historical note: The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito, famously called the “Wooden Wonder,” was an icon of RAF aviation during World War II. Its versatility allowed it to serve as a bomber, fighter, reconnaissance, and strike aircraft. The type was especially famous for precision raids on strategic targets and special missions between 1941 and 1945. Unique checkerboard tread tires were fitted to various production batches of the aircraft.

Recommendation and skill level: We recommend this product for intermediate and advanced modelers (difficulty level 2/5). Installing resin wheels requires precision and experience handling cyanoacrylate adhesives, but it significantly enhances the Mosquito replica’s realism. Such model enhancement appreciably raises the overall finish quality and helps achieve the effect of an authentic, operational aircraft. This is an ideal choice for historical modeling enthusiasts striving for maximum authenticity and an outstanding display!
