Emergency rescue buoys are an integral structural element of Soviet and Russian submarines, enabling quick marking of the location of a sunken submarine during rescue operations. These are signaling devices mounted on the exterior hulls of submarines of classes such as Alfa, Typhoon, Kilo, Oscar, or Akula. They have been most commonly used since the late 1950s, both during the tense Cold War and in the present day. This system proved to be crucial during incidents such as the K-129 or Kursk submarine disasters, where swift identification of the location was critical for potential rescue operations and crew recovery attempts.

The Quinta Studio QP135003 set is characterized by extraordinary precision and ease of assembly thanks to three-dimensional decal technology. This is an accessory ready to be applied to the painted surface of the model, significantly enhancing the realism of any 1/350 scale submarine replica.

Unlike traditional resin or photo-etched details, this set requires only basic decal application skills and is designed for both beginner and intermediate modelers – difficulty level: 1/5. By choosing this product, you gain not only excellent detail reproduction but also the ability to improve the authenticity of scenes featuring submarines used by the USSR and Russian Navies.

I highly recommend this set to all modelers building Soviet or Russian submarines in 1/350 scale. It will be especially appreciated by collectors who value authenticity, meticulous detail, and ease of use consistent with modern modeling trends.
