The T-100Z was a Soviet twin-turreted heavy tank prototype, designed at Factory No. 185 in Leningrad as a potential successor to the T-35. Created by the OKMO N. Barykov team, the model featured an unusual construction with two turrets – a front turret armed with a 45 mm gun and a rear turret with a powerful 76.2 mm cannon. The unique configuration required an elongated hull, and the vehicle competed with the SMK tank; ultimately, however, the Soviet army adopted the single-turret KV-1. The T-100Z was combat-tested during the Winter War in Finland in 1939-1940.
