Historical Information and Usage

The Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk is an American tactical bomber with reduced detectability (stealth) that served in the United States Air Force from the 1980s onward. It was mainly used during the Cold War period and in armed conflicts such as the Gulf War in 1991 (Operation Desert Storm) and the Kosovo War in 1999. Its unique design enabled precision strikes with minimal risk of detection by hostile radar systems.
