Historical Information

The AGM-65 Maverick is an air-to-ground guided missile designed by the American company Hughes, now Raytheon. It is one of the most popular and longest-serving missiles of its class, introduced into active service in the late 1960s and widely used during the Cold War and in modern times. Maverick missiles were used during the Vietnam War, Middle Eastern conflicts, and Operation Desert Storm, among others. Operators of the Maverick include air forces from countries such as the USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Norway, South Korea, and Poland.
