Historical and Technical Information

The KAB-500KR is a Russian-made guided aerial bomb equipped with a TV guidance system designed for precision strikes. It was introduced in the 1980s, serving as an important weapon for the air forces of the USSR and, later, Russia—it is also used by contemporary air forces, including in conflicts in Syria and Ukraine. Among the most common carriers of the KAB-500KR are the Su-24M, Su-34, Su-30, Su-35, and Mig-29 fighters. This bomb was a significant element of air force armament during the Cold War era and remains in use today.

Detailed Execution and Purpose

This RES/KIT set, manufactured using resin casting technology, enables a level of detail unattainable with standard plastic accessories. The model features realistically rendered surfaces, panel details, tail fins, as well as characteristic guidance elements. Thanks to finely molded secondary parts executed with great precision, this set is an excellent choice for arming miniature Russian aircraft in 1/72 scale.
