Gecko Models 35GM0028 Mk 1 Sawn Off Daimler (SOD) 1/35 is a high-quality plastic model kit representing a unique version of the British Daimler Mk I armored car in 1:35 scale. This model kit belongs to the "plastic model kit" category and has been created with advanced enthusiasts of historical military vehicle reconstructions from World War II in mind.

Daimler Armoured Car Mk I was one of the most important armored cars used by the British Army and Commonwealth units between 1941 and 1945. The model known as the "Sawn Off Daimler" (SOD) depicts a distinctive, shortened version of this vehicle, used mainly for patrol and reconnaissance missions, where increased maneuverability and a reduced vehicle profile were crucial. This vehicle was utilized during the North African campaign, in Italy, and during combat in Western Europe, with examples seen in British reconnaissance units during Operation Overlord and the liberation of France.

Product features:

• Scale: 1/35 – excellent for building dioramas and detailed presentations of military vehicles.
• Material: high-quality plastic with precisely molded parts in accordance with the original.
• The kit includes photo-etched parts allowing for realistic detailing (e.g., protective meshes, small equipment elements).
• Exceptionally faithful reproduction of the shortened hull and external features characteristic of the "Sawn Off" version.
• The model is intended for self-assembly – paints and glue must be purchased separately.

We recommend this model to all advanced modelers interested in British armored vehicles from World War II, diorama enthusiasts, and collectors of unusual historical vehicle variants. This model allows you to explore a somewhat forgotten yet very interesting episode in military history.
