The Leopard 1 is a German main battle tank (MBT) developed for the Bundeswehr in the 1960s, and it remained in service with many NATO and neutral countries throughout several decades of the Cold War and into the modern era. Versions of the Leopard 1 were used by Germany, Canada, Greece, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Italy, and several South American countries, among others. This tank is renowned for its high maneuverability and reliability, becoming a highly successful export and participating in many military conflicts at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century.

The Leopard 1 road wheels featured a characteristic, robust construction that ensured a high level of ride comfort and stability when traversing uneven terrain. This dedicated set from Panzer Art stands out for its exceptional attention to replicating the original's details — the resin parts feature all prominent bolts and tread patterns. The set fits most available 1/35 scale Leopard 1 plastic model kits from renowned manufacturers such as Tamiya or Italeri, allowing for a clear improvement in the model’s appearance.
