Historical description and usage

The AIM-7E Sparrow III is an American semi-active radar-guided air-to-air missile introduced into service in the 1960s as a development of earlier Sparrow versions. It saw wide use during the Vietnam War and for many years among the air forces of NATO countries. AIM-7E missiles were adapted to work with fighters such as the F-4 Phantom II, F-14 Tomcat, and F-15 Eagle. Initially, their effectiveness was limited, but subsequent upgrades improved performance and reliability. The AIM-7E was used in Cold War conflicts and numerous military operations until the late 1980s.

Purpose and recommendations

The RESKIT RS32-0320 set is an excellent upgrade component for advanced models of US Navy and USAF fighters, as well as allied aircraft modeled in 1/32 scale. The resin missiles are distinguished by perfect dimensional and detail accuracy, such as guidance fins, mounting lugs, and propulsion system.

We recommend this product to advanced modelers and enthusiasts of detailed dioramas and those seeking high levels of realism in aircraft modeling. Difficulty of assembly: 2/5 – requires basic resin handling and painting skills. This set will ensure exceptional realism for any replica of an aircraft armed with Sparrow missiles.
