Historical information: DKM Weser originated from the conversion of the heavy cruiser Seydlitz (Admiral Hipper class) into an auxiliary aircraft carrier in Germany during World War II. Construction was ordered to be halted in June 1943 by Adolf Hitler due to changing Kriegsmarine priorities and the dominance of submarine fleets. Ultimately, it was never completed; it sank in Königsberg in 1945, was salvaged after the war by the USSR and dismantled in Leningrad. The model reflects the planned appearance of the vessel according to the conversion assumptions and advanced plans of the German navy from 1942-1943.
